Speed painting number two. This time of a robot or a mech or since this was inspired by Pacific Rim a jaeger. When I did this I hadn't seen the movie I just saw the posters on my way to work and thought that it looked like a fun movie at the very least. Having seen it this last Sunday I can safely say that my assessment was correct. Not my favorite Del Toro movie but really good and really fun. I don't do a lot of mechanical stuff so this was tricky for me. There are some composition issues that could have been helped by the inclusion of atmospheric perspective and the jaeger itself has issues that just come from my inexperience with drawing mechanical stuff. This came out okay and I learned a lot that I'll apply next time I do something like this.
