Damn muscles take forever to paint. By the time I get done with one section my time is up and the rest of the figure is left incomplete. Other than that minor hiccup I think that this figure came out okay, some issues with the legs and the hands but by this point I knew that I would be spending a lot of time on the muscles so I rushed through them.
An alternate take on Zatanna. I never liked that she was a stage magician as well as a real magician, I'm sure a the time it was funny or clever but to me it seems kind of lame. "We have a magician lady what should her day job be" " How about a magician?" "Perfect". I pictured this version of Zatanna as being more of a expert on magical beings and curses. Her adventures would involve her being a vet/doctor/detective combo and her home would be filled with various creatures she was caring for and a ton of anti-curse amulets. She would have a dog that was a Cwn Annwn from Welsh mythology.
Just some gestures done from my imagination. To a couple I added some distinguishing characteristics.
