Getting some nice definition on a figure is a time consuming exercise for me. Hopefully doing more studies like this will speed me up. I like this one, there's some room for improvements especially on the back.
More hands. Hands are tough. One of the trickiest things to draw.

So every once and a while I get really jealous of artists who have really nice line work that's done digitally and I try to do it myself. Usually it ends up a complete mess, this time it didn't. Don't get me wrong my line work is still miles behind a lot of those guys but I think that with more practice I will get better. Other than the lines this came out alright.
Something that you might have noticed is that I leave a large gray section on some of these. I do all of these in one psd file that I work on for about two weeks and then save a new copy to work for the next two weeks. It's nice because doing that means that instead of fourteen files I only have one and that's a bit of a space and sanity saver even if it means some odd formatting issues.
More hands from Bridgman. I have a few more days worth of these hands.

Getting those muscles on the side of the torso has always been tricky for me. I think part of it is because I read so many comics and each artist has a very different way of drawing them that it just became this very confusing area for me. Hopefully doing these paintings and anatomy studies will help clear things up.
Some more hands from Bridgman. He has a book devoted solely to hand called The Book of a Hundred Hands that I would recommend to any one having trouble with hands. There are some drawings reused from this book but a lot of new drawings too.

This model had really nice hips and abs. Her hips flared out nicely and her abs are defined but not so much that she has a six pack. I was able to get both of these things across and I was able to get her tan lines in there as well, the only thing I missed was the tattoo on her hip which I got the drawing in but ran out of time so I wasn't able to paint it.
A while back I decided to do a bunch of copies out of George Bridgman's book Drawing from Life. I stopped posting them because I wanted to post more color pictures so I stock piled them until I was done posting stuff from my sketch book. Yesterday I posted the last of the stuff from my sketch book so now I'm on to the Bridgman stuff.

Second post today! Worked on the arms and shoulders here. I like the way the skin tones came out but I would have liked to have done more with the mouth and the hands.
Top left a face, to the right Samus in her power armor, bottom left a tiny dragon and next to that a picture of Samus in her morph ball state with the text "that's how I roll" around her.

A very ripped back. One of the hardest things for me to paint so I've decided to do a couple of them. I think that this one came out pretty good and I don't have much to say against it.
The villein from the comic I'm working on. This is after he becomes possessed, no pupils and no neck. around that are some doodles.
So my computer was having some issues yesterday so I'll be doing two posts today to make up for that.
